The central research center is currently conducting researches and developing various new products including optimization of polymeric materials for value-added products, future generation catalysts and other functional products.
Hanwha R&E Center has also developed systematic packaging of petrochemical process, energy-saving electrodes, water-soluble polymers and fluorescence materials, etc. which are top-class products in the world.
The institution has also earned praises as a model company performing environmental conservation activities with nature-friendly technologies such as insoluble waste water treatment technology, advanced food waste treatment technology, and other energy-saving technology having already approved excellence, and these achievements helped the institution to get the ISO-14001 certificate successfully.
Furthermore, the central research center has invested in R&D to expand its business area to technology-concentrated industries such as re-compounded protein, life-expansion technology, new genetic application technology, etc. which are new areas in biotechnology which seems to lead the 21st century with IT industry. ..In the future the institution will be the center of chemical technology in the world by means of technological independence based on respecting man’s life and dignity.
