The 1st facility, built on a 500,000 square meter site, has a CA plant which produces salt acids/alkalis and EDC derivatives, for use as raw materials. There is also a V㎝ plant and a PE plant producing Polyethylene and EVA from ethylene. The 2nd facility consists of 8 units including a PVC Paste Resin plant which produces raw materials for wallpaper, artificial leather, flooring, pipes, and other products. The 2nd facility has a pleasant atmosphere with state-of-the-art facilities, among which are an acid/alkali electrolysis plant a PE plant and a PVC plant where everyday products are produced, all vertically integrated.
All of its employees are unified in their efforts to help improve customer quality of life through intensive R&D and new product development. With the ‘customers first’ slogan, goods are produced under a strict quality management system and sold throughout Korea, Southeast Asia, and the world. Quality is rated high both domestically and internationally with HCC selected as one of 100 quality competitiveness companies by the Agency for Technology and Standards.
The Ulsan plant was selected as first in safety and sanitation management by the Korean government, and noted for its nature-friendly efforts. Prior to receiving domestic recognition, it obtained BS-7750 (British Environmental Standard) authentication, a non-Korean advanced environmental management system.
The Ulsan Plant is a top caliber facility in terms of safety, health management, and environmental management through extensive investments. It participates in local community activities such as the ‘One Company, One River Movement,’ and aiding housing repairs though divisional social contribution activities
Based on these accomplishments, The Ulsan plant pledges to not only promote progressive activity to develop along with the local community, but also supply high quality products at low prices by means of continual reform in overall management including improvements in productivity and procedures, development of new products, reduction of unit costs, and in other areas, to become a top-tier chemical plant worldwide.
